One month after the release of her debut single Tan é sézon, Irie Keef introduces Whispers of wisdom. This new track is dedicated to her sistren Nelly Stharre, brutally murdered in 2015.
It is by her side that she took her first steps on stage in the early 90’s as a back singer. With her friend she performed live at main events like Bob Marley Movement Festival in Miami, World Créole Music Festival in Dominica and Rockers tv show in Jamaïca
“Nelly’s death, is also an main chapter of my life. This tile is a message of peace. May it soothe all broken hearts”.
The title is reggae dub : a classic of the kind !
With beautiful harmonies, catchy melodies, and her unique voice, all together sad and hopeful, Irie Keef confirms the essay as talented artist with this song. Can’t wait for My legend, the debut EP to be soon released ! While getting ready for this upcoming release, the artist performs her repertoire live with acoustic formula : guitar, bass, ka and melodica
“Singing on a band while composing or recording in studio is nice. But singing with a live band is something else. I like being close to all those instruments and the complicity with the musicians. The sound is warm and those moments are truly unique” !
