“GOODLOVE” is a truly magnetic track setting pace for a celebration of vibes for 2022. Originally produced and co-written by Roe Summerz, the new single from OUT:SIDE, the forthcoming album from Runkus x Toddla T is a further display of Toddla and Runkus’ collaborative ability, this time backed by the signature sound of Ky-Mani Marley. The trio creates a track that carries the weight, feel and energy of a song you felt you have heard before. The Tim Foresta directed visual is set in a museum exhibition by the GOODLOVERS, during a dystopian time where nothing “good” exists anymore. The exhibit comes to life where love is represented in its purest form.

Toddla says “GOODLOVE allowed me to indulge in two of my favourite art forms that is reggae and dub music, get out the tape delay and spring vibe, and some of the most authentic instrumentation and vocals in the reggae space.”

Runkus adds “Toddla got this to a place of simplicity and hardcore dub and vibes, it took the song to another level.”

Having met 6 years ago in Jamaica, both Toddla T and Runkus have been creating music ever since, bonding over their love for music and finding new ways to showcase their love for reggae, dancehall and hip hop. OUT:SIDE (LP) combines Runkus’ experience, vision and genius with Toddla’s ever evolving production and sound – heavily influenced by his background in club culture, radio and Notting Hill Carnival – which come together to create this unique and uplifting body of work, ready for the return to the outdoors. With guest features from Chronixx, Ky-Mani Marley, Zenya and France Nooks, “OUT:SIDE” provides a soundtrack for all the motions of a real life dance – from riddims for the ravers, to songs for the lovers, all whilst telling a story close to Runkus’ heart, this album has it all. Collectively the pair have garnered support from the likes of The Fader, i-D, Clash Magazine, Notion, Complex, Trench and more.
