Out now on digital format & soon on CD & LP | Tomawok Records
After the success of the 3 first singles “S.O.S.”, “ANGERS CITY” and “MESSAGE” from his new album “ROAD TO WISDOM“, Tomawok offers us a new project composed of 12 tracks available today in digital format and in few weeks on CD & LP. Tomawok will surprise his audience with a work that is more conscious, more sensitive, more mature and more intimate too.
The themes have expanded, the artist talks to us about global warming, the animal cause, the pleasure of cooking, his point of view on society, sometimes with a touch of humor.
Tomawok has chosen to surround himself as usual with legends of Jamaican music such as Capleton on the title “Bun Dem down” and Chezidek on “Me Kitchen“, without forgetting the icons of the French and Reunionese scene with Mesh and McDuc.
With the same concern for high standards and quality, the beat/riddim makers are the French D&H and the Polish Dreadsquad.
The album was primarily recorded at Irie Ites Studio by Judi-k, and feats in Kingston at Capleton‘s studio and at St Mary with Chezidek.
The album was mixed by D&H, then mastered by Scratch in Trinidad and Tobago.
The project is distributed by Baco, booked by NMB Booking and is the subject of artistic support from SMAC La Tannerie (Bourg-en-Bresse).

Tomawok has yet an important artistic background. First, he has been a member of Zetlaskars band (Ska-Fusion), signed in 2003 on Crash Disques label. Then, he joined/founded Urban Poizon (Rap Hardcore) in 2004 and a few times later, in 2007, he teamed up with Mesh M18 and Titine Boy from Paris Grime Sin crew (Grime-Drum’n’Bass).
At the same time, the Tomawok project was taking seed in his mind and he finally decided to focus on this full-time activity from 2007.
